Wecord joins the spirit of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Tournament Reimagined

In 2025, football history is being rewritten. The FIFA Club World Cup returns in a spectacular new format, expanding to 32 of the world's top clubs and hosted for the very first time in the United States. More than a tournament, the Club World Cup is a global celebration of heritage, ambition, and community. It brings together champions from every corner of the planet, a showcase of skill, passion, and identity.

As football evolves so does the way we celebrate it. At Wecord, we are proud to introduce the Teams Cord Bracelets collection: 16+ limited edition cords inspired by the colours of clubs participating in this historic tournament.

From Brazil 2000 to USA 2025: A Trophy's Journey

The Club World Cup has seen many transformations since its debut in Brazil in 2000. Originally running alongside the Intercontinental Cup, the competition was fully unified under FIFA in 2005 and officially renamed in 2006. Over the years, it has brought together Champions League winners, Copa Libertadores titans and more in pursuit of one global crown.

The 2025 edition marks a pivotal evolution. With 32 teams representing all six confederations, the tournament now mirrors the global scale of the FIFA World Cup. The top two teams from each group will battle through knockout stages in a format designed to bring intensity and excitement to every match.

Format & Fixtures: A New Era Begins

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, running from 14 June to 13 July represents one of FIFA’s most ambitious moves to date. For the first time, 32 teams will compete in a tournament structure familiar to fans of international football between 1998 and 2022, eight groups of four teams each with the top two from every group advancing to a round of 16 followed by knockout rounds.

On the pitch the quality promises to be outstanding. Twelve European giants will feature including Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Inter Milan, Juventus, Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain. From the Americas, powerhouse clubs like Boca Juniors, Flamengo, River Plate, Palmeiras, Pachuca, and Inter Miami led by Lionel Messi will compete. Four teams each from Africa and Asia along with one Oceania team complete the diverse and dynamic line-up.

Economic Impact and Global Reach

Financially, FIFA forecasts tremendous success for the revamped competition. According to its latest financial report, the tournament could contribute up to $21.1 billion to global GDP with an estimated $9.6 billion generated in the United States alone. Additionally, FIFA will distribute $1 billion in total prize money, including up to $125 million for the eventual champions. For clubs outside of football’s wealthiest regions this presents a life-changing opportunity to boost their resources.

Broadcast rights have been secured by DAZN, which will stream all 63 matches for free, a strategic move to attract widespread global viewership. FIFA reportedly earned around $1.05 billion from this deal. Meanwhile, despite a projected attendance of 3.7 million, early signs suggest that in-person turnout might be less than expected, with Ticketmaster showing available seats for every match and some ticket prices falling significantly ahead of the opening whistle.

A Trophy Inspired by the Cosmos

With its expanded format comes a reimagined prize. In collaboration with Tiffany & Co., FIFA has unveiled a striking new trophy. A futuristic, orbital structure adorned with 24-carat gold plating and laser-engraved details, including a world map, global languages and even braille.

This symbolic object is more than a reward; it reflects the unity and diversity of the sport. Each future champion’s emblem will be etched into its surface, ensuring that the legacy of each winner lives on.

Introducing Wecord's Teams Cord Bracelets

At Wecord, we believe in capturing emotion through design. Inspired by the tournament’s spirit and the colours that define club identities, we created the Teams Cord Bracelets Collection. This limited release features 16 to 18 cords, each designed to reflect the iconic palette of a world-class football club.

From Madrid’s crisp white and silver to Boca Juniors’ electric blue and yellow, and Manchester City’s calm sky blue — every bracelet is crafted for fans who live the game beyond the stadium.

Why Colours Matter

In football, colours are sacred. They transcend borders, they evoke memories, and they unite millions. Supporters wear them with pride, whether in the stands, at home, or in the streets. The Teams Cord Bracelets let fans carry their club’s spirit in a new, modern, and subtle way.

These cords are more than accessories. They’re conversation starters, travel companions, and personal statements of loyalty and passion. No logos, no noise — just bold colours and clean design.

Global Sport, Global Style

With clubs from Europe, South America, Africa, Asia, and beyond, the 2025 edition will mark a true celebration of global football. Real Madrid, Corinthians, Manchester City, and other giants bring not just their players, but entire fan cultures with them. Wecord’s collection honours that energy and diversity, bridging sport and fashion.

Whether you're supporting your club from New York, Paris, Miami, Dubai, London or Casablanca, our cords let you wear your allegiance, subtly and stylishly.

Looking Ahead: A Legacy in the Making

As the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 kicks off in the United States, it marks not just a new format — but a new chapter in the sport’s legacy. At Wecord, we’re proud to mark this moment with a collection that speaks the language of football: colour, emotion, identity.
